They don't call it Music's Biggest Night for nothing. With nearly 100 gramophone-shaped trophies being handed out, a mini-festival of live performances and enough celebrities to fill L.A.'s Staples Center, the 52nd Grammy Awards has so much going on, it's easy to miss something. To avoid that, here are Darryl Sterdan's 10 things to keep your eyes and ears peeled for:
Chick Fight!
Amazonian R&B behemoth Beyonce leads the pack with 10 nominations -- but cat-eyed country-popper Taylor Swift ain't far behind with eight. Lady Gaga is a ways back with five nods, but three are biggies: Record, Song and Album of the Year. So if Sasha Fierce and T-Swizzle cancel each other out a couple of times, she could end up the big winner. Either way, it could be ladies' night.
Battle of the Bands
All five Album Of The Year nominees -- Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Dave Matthews Band and Taylor Swift -- are due to perform on the broadcast. That's cool. Of course, it'd make more sense if the Record of the Year acts (Beyonce, BEP, Gaga, Kings of Leon and Swift) were playing. But hey, it's still better than nothing.
